Vinyasa Yoga Sequencing Workshop for Teachers and Home Practitioners
As yoga teachers and practitioners the sequences we offer to our students and ourselves are an expression of our understanding of wholeness and our work on the path towards balance. Sequencing a Vinyasa Yoga practice asks us to explore both the physical and energetic blueprints of our bodies. When we step back and take a long view of how we link Asanas, Pranayamas and Intention together into a "practice", we discover the potential to offer sequencing as a form of "moving medicine" to our students and ourselves.
In our training we will practice self study so that each teacher and student can continue to enrich their own unique offering. Using a template inspired by Shiva Rea's Wave Sequencing model we will uncover the intelligent path towards "peak poses". Participants will learn the "nuts and bolts" of linking Asanas together to prepare the body for the "peak" experience. The elements of Ayurveda and the core teachings of yoga will provide a foundation of purpose and meaning that shifts a sequence from a list of postures into a form of Seva, and a moving meditation.
