GUILLERMO BURGESS Special Guest Guitarist
A gem of the Bay Area Flamenco community, Guillermo carries more than 20 years in California accompanying dancers singers and as a soloist in for the Flamenco Society of San Jose, NorCal Flamencos, AguaClara Co, and Mission Flamenco. He has studied under the 'Godfather' of the Bay Area scenes David Serva and also with El Guardia, father of Spain's critically acclaimed rising star Gema Moneo. Guillermo has recently returned from an extensive stay in Spain where he studied instensely with his maestros and performed in famed Tabanco El Pasaje.

LUIS DE LA TOTA Artistic Director
Born in one of the oldest Gypsy neighborhoods of Jerez de La Frontera, El Barrio de Santiago, Luis de la Tota began his career as a percussionist at the age of 8. He takes his artistic name from his grandmother 'La Tota', who has been an inspiration to him since his infancy. As a percussionist and palmero, Luis tours with flamenco's top artists such as Antonio Del Pipa, Maria Del Mar Moreno, Fernando de La Morena, El Capullo, Moraito, Diego Carrasco and Angelita

ESTEFANIA LA ISHI voice/dance
Estefania began her studies as a flamenco dancer in 2003 at Flamenco Arts Academy in Portland OR under Maestras Laurena Marrone and Maria Bermudez. In 2008, discovering that she needed a deeper understanding of the music she was dancing too Estefania travelled to southern Spain. She studied the flamenco song and voice with La Chiqui de Jerez. After immersing herself for 2 years exclusively in the cante (song) of Flamenco Estefania decided it was time to put her dancing shoes back on. She now blends her dancing and singing with a depth of cultural understanding and passion that is difficult to match. This summer she was awarded a Professional Development grant by Idaho Commission on the Arts that she used to study instensively with legendary dancers Maria del Mar Moreno and Antonio El Pipa in Spain. Estefania returns to the stage to present new choreographies with a reignited passion for Flamenco.

Christina La Tetera
Earning her stage name La Tetera (The Teapot) by turning with such strength and passion as to clear even the teapots off of table tops with her skirt, Christina is not new to performance dance. With a backround in classical ballet, Christina began studying with Luis de La Tota and Estefania at Escuela de Ritmo in 2011. Enjoying variety in her style, Christina has traveleld to New Mexico to study with Jesus Muñoz and recently went to Spain to study intensively with award winning dancer Maria del Mar Moreno.
