Beehive Winterization Workshop
For a more detailed description, see www.AgHall.com. Basically, this two-part workshop will begin with a discussion of an overwintering hive, then you will have a chance to assemble a quilt box, or size and cut wrapping material to keep your hive as healthy as possible all winter long.
The fee paid here covers attending the discussion and optional hands-on workshop. Materials used during the workshop will be billed on-site. For example, if you choose to build a quilt-box, expect to pay extra for a medium or shallow super and nails ($16), plus fabric and fill (sawdust, straw,... ~$4), plus tool and space rental ($5), for a total of around $25 per quilt box. Other systems will be billed similarly.
