Event
Intrique and Etiquette: Inside Kensington Palace
We'll visit this historic royal residence bought by William and Mary in the 17th century. Starting by climbing up the King's staircase, just as the great as the good of Georgian London would have done on a visit to the King, we'll see a vivid recreation of the court of King George I before touring the sumptuous King's State Apartments. We'll also see the more intimate interiors of the Queen's Apartments including the Queen's Closet where Queen Anne and her favourite Sarah Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough, had a terrible argument. Finally, we'll walk through the rooms where Queen Victoria grew up before heading to the Orangery for tea.
