Event
Style Essentials: Male Fashion on Jermyn St
We'll meet by the statute of George, 'Beau', Brummell in Jermyn Street. This arbiter of fashion in Regency England introduced the modern men's suit with his perfectly tailored garments and sober colour schemes. We'll focus on the history and manufacture of waistcoats, jackets, shirts and shoes and visit the exclusive shops that proved today's top quality bespoke clothes. Here we'll go behind-the-scenes to learn how a suit jacket is made, where the best materials come from and which part of a horse makes the best shoe leather!
