A Private Valentine's Eve at Leighton House
Celebrate Valentine's Eve with a private visit to the sumptuously decadent Leighton House! Surely one of the most romantic houses in London, it is a piece of art in its own right, vibrating throughout with organic decoration, indoor fountains, a sensuous Arab Hall, gilded ceilings, stunning Damascene tiles and beautiful drawings and paintings by Leighton and his circle. Embodying the Victorian ideals of aesthetics and 'art for art's sake' this recently (and meticulously) restored building is an absolute must see.
Leighton House will open their doors exclusively for Art History UK. We'll have Valentine drinks in one of the plushest dining rooms in town, before beginning a tour of the house. Should you wish to join, we'll also have dinner laid on at the nearby pub Scarsdale Arms (dinner costs TBC).
-The cost of this event includes contributions to all entrance fees and drinks at Leighton House, and admin fees. Dinner costs will be additional.
If you'd rather send a cheque, please make one out to Art History UK and post it to 148 Sulgrave Road, London, W67PU.
-If you cancel within a week of the event, half the cost of the tour will be refunded. If you cancel within 24 hours of the tour, we regret that we will not be able to refund any of the cost.
-Please note that we can only run this tour if we have an attendance of 18 people. If we have to cancel the tour we will give a week's notice.
