Who's in Charge?: Being in Right Relationship with Our Children
When our children attempt to take charge of the relationship, they become difficult to parent and we get depleted. No matter how much we do for them, it never seems to satisfy. When they take charge, our children are also robbed of the conditions they need to mature and realize their full potential. The solution lies in clearly understanding where we have gone off track and restoring the relationship to its proper context.
These principles can help ease problems of:
* anxiety * clinginess * neediness * inability to hear "no" * obstinance or defiance * bossiness * bullying * aggression and frustration * behaviour and discipline
Cindy will discuss why it is so important to be in "right relationship" with our children, how our being in charge allows them to grow and mature, and how to take charge and be the parent our children need us to be.
