Understanding the DEVASTATION OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!
Our event will be an engaging, interactive community conversation about the importance of preventing generational domestic violence. We will brainstorm about community-based strategies that engage our public institutions, interfaith and private social action organizations in a campaign which creates widespread support for COMPASSIONATE PARENTING AS THE ANSWER TO ENDING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
Our dialog will focus on creating public & private partnerships which encompass our education system, faith-based organizations, public safety department, sororities & fraternities and like-minded social action groups to form committees focused on impacting the epidemic proportions of domestic and youth violence in our county.
FREE LUNCH and resource gift bags will be provided to our 1st 35 registrants and attendees. Our event is FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! Opportunities for on-line and cash DONATIONS will be available. ALL DONATIONS are welcomed and will be used to expand programming which furthers our VISION:DIMINISHING THE DEVASTATION OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ON DEKALB'S YOUTH and supports our MISSION: implementing programs which encourage and empower compassionate parenting. Our goal is providing H.O.P.E: HELPING OPPRESSED PARENTS EXCEL!
