Jeff Lowe's "Metanoia" at Sun Mountain Lodge
On Friday, October 9, 2015, Sun Mountain Lodge in partnership with EASE Cancer will be hosting a showing of the award-winning movie "Metanoia." Filmed in North America, Europe and in the Himalayas, "Metanoia" traces the astonishing climbing career and chaotic personal life of mountaineering legend Jeff Lowe. Having survived decades at the pinnacle of this most dangerous of sports only to arrive at a personal catharsis, Jeff establishes an outrageous solo route on the north face of the Eiger and begins the process of reconciling with his family only to find himself the victim of a deadly disease.
Released earlier this year to universal praise "Metanoia" has played to sold-out audience in Denver, Boulder and Los Angeles and will begin an international tour later this winter. Connie Self, Jeff's partner, will be at the Lodge to present the film. Portion of the profits will go to helping fund both the movie and Jeff continued care as he approaches the terminal phase of his illness.
