Bemidji Symphony Orchestra presents "A Trip to Remember!"
Rock violinist Aaron Meyer and guitarist Tim Ellis join the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra and heat up the stage with their influences of rock, Celtic and jazz! Dr. Beverly Everett conducts. Aaron Meyer performs a unique style of original music combining world, contemporary progressive rock and classical influences. He debuted with the Philadelphia Orchestra at age 11 and has worked with vastly contrasting contrasting artists, from symphony orchestras to Pink Martini, Smokey Robinson, Aaron Neville, The Temptations, and the platinum record selling band, Everclear. He resides in Portland, Oregon.
Tim Ellis is a professional guitarist, award winning composer, music producer, and owner of Kung Fu Bakery Recording in Portland, OR. He has performed and/or recorded with Spencer Davis, The Platters, The Ink Spots, Tommy Tutone, Mac Davis, Larry Gatlin, Fred Karlin, Bill Conte and the Academy Awards Orchestra, and the Beach Boys, Wilson Phillips, and Dennis Dragun of The Captain and Tennille.
This concert is being co-sponsored by WMIS 92.1 "The River."
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Region 2 Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
Tickets are available at the door, or in advance at Lueken's Foods North and South and at brownpapertickets.com. $20 for adults; $15 senior citizens 62+; $10 college students with ID. Students grades K12 admitted free. All seats are general admission. Doors open for seating at 2:30 pm.
