Mithril Octoberfest!
Join Mithril and celebrate Fall! It's a wee bit after the Autumn Equinox and before Beltane/Halloween, but it is a perfect time to hear Celtic music that will have you dancing in your seat and set your spirit soaring! Mithril is Andra Bohnet (flutes & Celtic harp), Tom Morley (fiddle), Ben Harper (guitar), and Sam Gaston (percussion). "This is always one of our favorite concerts to present because we love to mark the change of season, which is a Celtic tradition," says Bohnet. "We can anticipate Beltane and perform some of our favorite Halloween sets." Mithril fans can expect an energetic evening of new material, including tunes from "Outlander," interspersed with some fan favorites. With well over a decade together, Mithril's unique progressive style has its roots in traditional Celtic music but moves far beyond that, weaving such diverse influences as American folk, classical, and Middle Eastern melodies into their full tapestry of sound. Tom and Andra's tight melodies and harmonies are supported by the driving rhythmic stylings of Ben and Sam to create to create an incredibly exuberant mix of passion and whimsy.
