Vintage Brass Band
Friday, October 16, at 7:30 p.m. the Vintage Brass, a subgroup of the Lafayette Citizens Band, will perform in concert Friday evening during the Grand Opening weekend for the Delphi Opera House.
A heritage event, the Vintage Brass will be reminiscent of the cornet band led by Johnny Lathrope, who in 1878 played for a grand ball at the Assion-Ruffing City Hall,
later known as the Delphi Opera House.
Today as we celebrate the grand reopening of this historic gem, we invite you to enjoy the sounds of The Vintage Brass as they perform music from the 1840s to the early jazz period of the 1920s.
