ROGERS PARK MONTESSORI PRESENTS: THE MAGIC BALL
For 45 years, RPMS has been inspiring students to create a magical life of their own. Please join us at Galleria Marchetti on March 24 and help keep the magic alive. At this year's gala you won't believe your eyes! Expect live and silent auctions, art installations, curious sounds, unexpected diversions, and a grander-than-usual touch of magic featuring specially curated performances by The Midnight Circus. Grown-ups can mingle with stilt-walkers and live out their big-top fantasies.
The High Flying VIP Reception ($150) VIP's will not only experience signature absinthe cocktails, juggling and plate-spinning by CircEsteem, but will also have first access to all the silent auction items and carnival games. Bidding at this year's gala will all be done on touchpads. Preview the bidding process at www.AESAuctions.com.
Main Event ($100/$125 at-the-door) The amazing Ed Kross will be "The Ringmaster" for the evening. Ed is a multi-talented Master of Ceremonies with vast experience in Circus, Cabaret and Theatre. Check out Ed's website at www.edkross.com.
From The Midnight Circus you may expect: - Acts of Contortion: A duo routine with two acrobats performing an incredible act of combined strength, flexibility, and classic Mongolian choreography. - Acro-Jump rope routine: This act combines tumbling, acrobatics, and double-dutch jump roping. - Fund-A-Need Grand Finale: This final spectacle will feature members of the audience placing themselves right in the middle of the high-flying action holding the fate of the trick and the acrobats in their hands. "Tin Roof, Rusted!" Stick around after the Fund-A-Need for an untamed performance by RPMS' own Scott Anderson and Planet Claire, a B-52's cover band. Check out their Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/planetclaireband.
All items not unique to RPMS will be available online through Bidding For Good. The Online Auction opens March 3rd and can be accessed HERE
