Class 1: Introduction to Naturally Leavened Breads
Cultivating Your Starter Building Your Leaven Mixing Your Dough
Learn hands-on baking techniques and skills from Madison Sourdough's baker/owner Andrew Hutchison.
Sat, January 28 3pm-6pm $70. All ages welcome.
Objectives: Learn to bake bread that FITS your lifestyle through manipulation of fermentation. Learn to start and maintain a *sourdough starter* and how to use a starter to make extraordinary bread.
Learn an introductory knowledge of the components of wheat and milled wheat (flour) and the importance of ingredient quality in the production of extraordinary bread.
Class 2: Crust, Crumb, Color
Mixing Your Dough Shaping Your Dough Baking Your Bread
Learn final execution of extraordinary bread and an introduction to developing your unique loaf from Madison Sourdough's baker/owner Andrew Hutchison.

Class 3: Incorporating Whole Grains
Soaking Grains Mashing your grains Pre-ferments Whole Grain Leaven
Learn methods and techniques to introduce traditional and non-traditional whole grains into your loaves of bread.
