Dr. Staci Gruber - How Marijuana Impacts Kids' Brains
SAMA Foundation presents a Knowledge is Power event featuring Dr. Staci Gruber at Town Hall Seattle on September 10, 2015.
The legalization of medical and recreational marijuana has added new depths to discussions by parents, teachers and children in regards to drug use. According to "rock star scientist" Dr. Staci Gruber, adolescent brains are particularly susceptible to influence from marijuana. She'll share findings from her groundbreaking research on brain imaging and what exactly happens to the brain once you take a hit. Perfect for families, this event will open a dialogue about drug use -- how it changes your mind, TCH and CBD, and more. Gruber is the Director of Cognitive and Clinical Neuroimaging Core at McLean Hospital and an Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
Tickets: $5 for adults; free for children
