Insurance/Liability & Contracts
The first session in the AIA Columbus Mastering the Business of Architecture series is 'Insurance/Liability & Contracts'.
This session will teach you how to mitigate your risks through the eyes of a legal professional.
Learn what professional liability insurance covers, what happens if you're not covered sufficiently, how much overhead/operating expense a typical premium is, when to begin contract talks, what to include and not include in your contracts, what happens when contracts are broken (arbitration, mediation, litigation), how to protect yourself with well written contracts, if you can/should do any work without a contract, if you need to have an attorney to review your contracts for you, and more!
Friday, September 11, 2015 | 12:00 - 4:00 pm Presented by: Charles R. Heuer, FAIA, Esq. of The Heuer Law Group
