Macbeth
Sunset High School is proud to present Macbeth, Shakespeare's masterpiece of ambition, murder and revenge. While the language of the play remains the same, our production has been updated. The play is set against the crumbling backdrop of an urban city center. The characters of the play, instead of royalty, have been transformed into those individuals found on the fringes of society, the visible and sometimes invisible homeless population. We believe that a struggle for power can happen at any level in our society. In keeping with our modern concept, the production is also a multi-media event. The design includes video/image projection and a modern soundscape.
