Workshop: Stars, Earth
Stars, Earth by Jenna Vershen
"We are all, more or less, either male or female, more or less masculine or feminine more or less heterosexual or homosexual. But of course nothing of the sort is true; sex makes mincemeat of rigid definitions. [;...]; the binary system breaks down utterly on the rocks of human desire." -Sallie Tisdale, Talk Dirty To Me
Straddling the consent line and the gender binary, Ada's just another high schooler finding her way out.
Doors at 6:30, show begins promptly at 7:00
Featuring: Leah Russell as Ada Leah Fishbaugh as Carrie Ben Wippel as Nick Chris Leher as Father Tambre Massman as Mother
The TPS Blackbox is located on the ground floor of the Armory, just behind the Center House Theatre. Enter as if going to the mainstage, and we will have someone to help escort patrons the rest of the way.
-----
'Workshop' is a staged reading series where playwrights, actors, musicians, and artists can create and refine new works through a collaborative process. Experimental in nature, these staged readings are performed with minimal resources every other month for audiences who will participate in its creation simply by witnessing the event. A feedback session will be held after each performance to further establish the witness' role in shaping the art being presented.
