THE HUMAN VOICE & CREATION OF THE WORLD
Ohana Arts Fall Festival of Music presents a double-bill featuring Greenwich Music Festival's critically acclaimed production of Poulenc's opera, "La Voix Humaine" (The Human Voice) starring Laurie Rubin. Also on the program is a performance of Milhaud's "La Creation Du Monde" (Creation of the World) for string quartet and piano, performed by the Momenta Quartet.

LA CREATION DU MONDE (CREATION OF THE WORLD) for Piano and String Quartet Music by Darius Milhaud
Featuring NYC's Momenta Quartet and Djordje Nesic, this is the concert version of the ballet, written by Darius Milhaud as a reflection of both the ideal of the aesthetic of LES SIX to combine the popular forms of art and exotica.

The opera takes place in a young woman's bedroom where we witness one side of an agonizing and heart-wrenching conversation between two lovers. We take an emotional journey with Elle, a woman as she talks on the phone with her lover who will marry another woman the next day.
