Fulfilling Parenthood: Growing Our Children Up; Growing Ourselves Up
There are few endeavors more demanding, more challenging, or more relentless then raising children. The experience can range from the magical to the miserable in the course of a few hours. Often we may not feel up for the task and yet there is no opting out.
When we wholeheartedly embrace the call to be the parent our children need, no matter how we feel nor the personal sacrifice involved, we discover on the other side the deep and profound fulfillment that comes from true service. And we find something else, perhaps unexpected: the opportunity to realize our own developmental potential and to be a human being full of dignity, maturity, and wisdom. In this presentation, Cindy will draw from her experience as the mother of three challenging individuals to explore how raising children can be one of the most potent and universal paths of growth and transformation for child and parent alike.

PRESENTER
Cindy Leavitt is a Faculty Member of the Neufeld Institute, a Certified Neufeld Parent Educator, Parent Consultant and Presenter, and is directly supervised by Dr. Gordon Neufeld, clinical and developmental psychologist and author of Hold on to Your Kids. She has worked with individuals and groups for the past fifteen years. Cindy brings a combination of theoretical insight, practical wisdom, and personal compassion to her work with parents, teachers, and professionals. As a mother of three, her parenting has been transformed and enriched by Dr. Neufeld's insight approach.
