Youth Farm Tour - Lazy R Ranch
The Whole Plate partners with the Spokane Youth Sustainability Council to host a series of Youth Farm Tours this summer. On 4-5 Tuesday afternoons, we're visiting local, sustainable farms to connect with our food supply and sample the foods right at the source!
Lazy R Ranch's cattle are grass fed, no antibiotics or added hormones of any kind. They graze in a manner that benefits the ecosystem too! Learn about this "intensive grazing," what "custom sales" means and the challenges and rewards of raising cattle sustainably from 4th generation, newly returned to the ranch, young Beth Robinette.
The tours are free of charge and group transportation is provided.
Space is limited, so advance reservation is required.
BYO beverage and make sure to wear closed toe shoes appropriate for walking on farms.
