Back Forty Beer Company Pop-up Beer Dinner
Join Back Forty Beer Company for round two in our series of Pop-up Craft Beer Dinners. Hand-selected Back Forty beers will accompany five courses featuring meats and cheeses from livestock raised on the spent grains from our brewing process, and locally-sourced produce from the family farmers in and around our area, including Wright Dairy cheeses and cream and Norris Farm melons and strawberries.
Back Forty Test Kitchen Chef Tom Hopf continues Back Forty's partnership with Alabama Gulf Seafood by teaming up with one of our local Alabama oyster farms to bring us one of the truly great combinations in life...oysters and stout.
Two brand new Back Forty seasonal beers will make their debut at this dinner:
Our Summertime seasonal Fuzzy Belly brings the subtle scents and flavors of Alabama peaches together with the floral and citrus punch of Freckle Belly IPA for a refreshing Summer treat.
Our second debut is the long anticipated production release of Trade Day Cuban Coffee Stout. Celebrating the impending end to our trade embargo with our Cuban brothers, and with a nod to the flea markets in rural Alabama towns where locals barter and trade in everything from puppies and pocket knives to knick knacks and porcelain pigs... Trade Day Cuban Coffee Stout mingles roasted chocolate malts with the bitter southern sweetness of locally roasted coffee prepared 'cafecito' style. Trade Day Cuban Coffee Stout meets Murder Point oysters for a signature pairing that will have you booking the next legal flight to Havana. Just bring us back some Cohibas!
The dinner is limited to the fist 50 guests, and our first round was a hard sellout so get these tickets early. 2nd course: Trade Day Cuban Coffee Stout - Alabama Murder Point Oysters on the Half Shell served with Bourbon Jelly and Freckle Belly Hot Sauce
3rd course: Fuzzy Belly Peach IPA - Naked Pig Braised Chicken with a Local Vegetable Maque Choux
4th course: Truck Stop Honey Brown Ale - Smoked Pork with Corn Pudding and Local Tomatoes and Okra
5th course: 5th Anniversary Naked Pig Pale Ale - Blueberry and Peach Cobbler
