What is Melodrama?
It's a dark and stormy night... And you may die... Melodrama joins music and drama for heightened expression and storytelling. The most expressive of the dramatic forms, we play high stakes with full physical expression. Unlike method based psychological acting, Melodrama is akin to Artaud's "athlete of the emotions." Playing physical and playing big: large gestures, bold characters, victims, villains, heros, the great struggle of good and evil. And with the Grand Guignolers, expect not boring & fun.
