Righteous Pork Chop Book Chat Potluck
Are you 14-24 years old?
Eating, gardening and water have a close and fragile relationship with the rest of the environment, and us.
Let's potluck with lunch on the 2nd floor rooftop patio of the Saranac Bldg. and talk about local, healthy food choices, and their impact on personal and ecological health.
This book chat kicks off a series of farm tours organized for the same age group. Spokane is home to a growing number of great gardens working with young folks, but there's a lot more we put on our plates than vegetables and herbs. Our summer "Youth Farm Tours" will take you to local farms raising animals for meat and dairy products. Reading the book first will make the tours much more informative and valuable.
These events are free for 14-24 year olds.
