The Resilient Child
Giving Your Child the Strength and Confidence to Succeed in Today's World
More than ever, today's children face disappointment, loss, and circumstances they cannot change. How can we as parents cultivate their ability to endure these experiences, and gain strength and confidence in their ability to cope with them? Using the approach of world-renowned developmental psychologist Dr. Gordon Neufeld, Cindy will uncover the roots of resilience and offer ideas as to how parents can foster this process in their children.
Insights and suggestions to help you: Understand how your child can benefit from adversity and cope confidently with stress. Support your child to be able to accept not getting their way. Help your children accept limits and restrictions Enable your child to benefit from correction Help your child to learn from mistakes and failure Preserve and protect your child's soft heart
Cindy also offers a small-group follow-up conversation driven by your questions on resilience or topics from her previous presentation. See the Resilience Chat page for tickets.
