BIRTH, a play by Karen Brody at Edmonds Center for the Arts (Seattle/Puget Sound BOLD)
BIRTH is a powerful play--sometimes funny, sometimes sad, always poignant--based on over one hundred interviews Karen Brody conducted with mothers across America. It tells the true stories of eight women, painting a portrait of how low-risk, educated women are giving birth in America today.
A theatrical experience not to be missed, BIRTH will be presented on Labor Day weekend and throughout the month of September, locally and around the world, as part of BOLD/Birth on Labor Day. Puget Sound performances will take place in Everett, Edmonds, Green Lake, South Seattle, West Seattle, Vashon Island and Tacoma.
Performances are followed by a talkback with cast members and guest panelists from the birth profession.
