Savor SLU

South Lake Union is quickly becoming Seattle's new dining mecca. The inaugural "Savor SLU" event offers you a chance to feast on samples from South Lake Union's finest restaurants. Participating restaurants include Tom Douglas, Flying Fish, Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar, Lunchbox Laboratory, Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria, Daniel's Broiler, Chandler's Crabhouse, Portage Bay Cafe, Whole Foods Market, Duke's Chowder House and more. Your price of entry will provide you with samples from participating restaurants and one drink ticket. Additional glasses of wine can be purchased for $5. One hundred percent of event proceeds benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). JDRF is a leader in setting the agenda for diabetes research worldwide, and is the largest charitable funder of and advocate for type 1 diabetes research. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Since its founding in 1970 by parents of children with type 1 diabetes, JDRF has awarded more than $1.5 billion to diabetes research, including more than $107 million last year. More than 80 percent of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and research-related education.
