Dark Chocolate: From Beans to Bars!
If you have ever stood in front of shelves of gourmet Chocolate and wondered what to buy, now is the time to sharpen your knowledge and senses.
This is a rare treat, and a good time. Enjoy an entertaining and informative program with representatives from Kallari Chocolates, where the farmers grow, harvest, and now process their own Cacao beans. Their educational presentation on all things Cacao will also involve a blind tasting of a variety of dark chocolates.
You will savor gourmet chocolates from around the world during the session, meanwhile developing sensory control of the palate and texture identification. The audience will gain familiarity with the numerous stages in cocoa production and bean preparation from an Amazon cocoa grower.
Come and take part in this unusual opportunity to meet farmers who are working to preserve their rainforest ecosystems while building a viable business.
This is also a great chance to have dinner at June, either before or after the presentation. Hope to see you there!
