John Wiese: films & sound -- presented by Elevator
John Wiese has been a staple of the fertile Los Angeles noise and out music scene since the late 90s. The subjects of his short films share Wiese's exploratory interest in the fringes of modern sound. From abstracted narratives and art pieces, to documentaries about fellow artists such as Joseph Hammer, GX Jupitter-Larsen, or The Tenses. Tonight he presents a program of his recent work for the screen followed by a live set.
