"Songs Sung by Peggy Lee" June 27th feat. vocalists Emilie Mover and Julie McGregor
The Toronto TD Jazz Festival presents The Singer's Jazz Series featuring vocalists: Emilie Mover and Julie McGregor singing songs sung by Peggy Lee accompanied by the great Bernie Senensky on grand piano and Artie Roth on bass; featuring special guest from NYC, the incredible Bob Mover on sax.
Peggy Lee's vocal style provided a distinctive imprint to countless swing tunes, ballads and big band numbers. She was considered the type of performer equally capable of interpreting a song as uniquely as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Bessie Smith.
Come join us for some dinner or just drinks, and enjoy an evening filled with great jazz upstairs in Pauper's cozy piano bar. Pauper's Pub is a popular haunt of many local Toronto actors, writers, musicians and artists. It will be an exciting, fun-filled evening of jazz music performed by some of Toronto's finest.
Reservations are recommended as there is limited seating.
Advance Online Tickets $16 / $20 at the door.
Doors open at 5:30pm for Dinner
Show starts at 7:00pm - 9:30pm
