Improving Lives, Transforming Minds

Please join us for "Improving Lives, Transforming Minds," on June 11th at Green Spaces to celebrate Mental Health America of Colorado's (MHAC) education, prevention and outreach programs. MHAC's programs (Check Your Head, Pro Bono Counseling & Referral Program, Brain Trust & Speaker Spotlight Series and Mental Health First Aid) help meet the mental health needs of people throughout Colorado.

Check Your Head is a school-based program encouraging self-identity, conflict resolution and tolerance through the arts. The Pro Bono Referral and Counseling Program consists of free mental health services by licensed therapists to low income individuals and families. MHAC's Brain Trust & Speaker Spotlight Series provides free informative presentations on many mental health topics in the effort to promote wellness. Mental Health First Aid certifies participants to provide help to others showing signs of mental illness or mental health crisis.

"Improving Lives, Transforming Minds" will feature art and poetry from Check Your Head students, stories of impact from Pro Bono program recipients, a presentation of the Sandra Rhodes Community Leader Award and the MHAC Youth Leadership Award, plus great hors d'oeuvres, wine and beer.

MHAC serves the people of Colorado by collaborating with strategic partners to promote mental health, expand access to services and transform systems of healthcare. Your support of "Improving Lives, Transforming Minds" helps us meet the mental health needs of people throughout Colorado.
