Earth Day Storytelling 2015: New Seeds, New Growth
The Seattle Storytellers Guild.
Join us for this free event. We will gather from 2-4pm on Sunday April 19th, at the beautiful Duwamish Longhouse in West Seattle, for an afternoon of storytelling in celebration of Earth Day. Gene Tagaban, Mary Anne Moorman, and Lorraine Bayes will entertain, inspire, and delight us with their storytelling gifts, as we put a special focus on New Seeds, New Growth: our up and coming youth. A short video will be shown about the youths in the Delridge neighborhood who were inspired by one of last year's stories to paint a 210' mural of the history of the Duwamish River. James Rasmussen from the Duwamish River Clean-up Coalition / TAG will update us on plans to clean the river. We may have a few other surprises, too!. Food and refreshments will be on hand. Donations welcome. Come and enjoy! Be a part of something special! Made possible in part by a grant from the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods / Neighborhood Matching Fund, The Duwamish Longhouse and Cultural Center, and other friends of the Seattle Storytellers Guild.
