CSC Photo Club Show and Awards
Annie Sprinkle and Dr. Carol Queen will oversee, MC and generally be the cause of much enjoyment at the First Annual CSC Photoclub Awards.
CSC will be presenting a whole bunch of awards to the club photographers including Audience Favorite, Most Erotic, Most Creative, Best Commercial, Sexist, Best Lighting, Best Composition, Most Suggestive, Most Androgynous, etc.
An expert panel of judges, comprising of Phyllis Christopher, Annie Sprinkle, Beth Stephens, Robert Lawrence, Carol Queen and others will judge the entries.
Entry requirements:
1. Photographers must be current or prior members of the CSC Erotic Photo Club.
2. Photographs must have been taken at a regular CSC photo shoot.
3. Photographers should obtain consent from the model for the pictures being submitted.
4. Photographers can submit up to 10 extries. Robert will pick the best three out of the ten for the judges panel.
5. Submissions must be electronic (for the juried competition) and framed, suitable for display (for the awards show).
6. Photographers should submit a brief biography and an artists statement.
7. Photographers grant CSC permission to use submitted images in advertising the show.
8. The entry fee is $50 for one image or $100 for up to 3.
9. The submission deadline is Jan 25, 2011
10. Three prizes of 300, 200 and 100 will be awarded for best images. A total of $150 will be awarded in other categories.
The CSC Photo Club may make large format prints of the winning images for display at the club premises.
Prints for display: Prints should be framed or mounted suitable for wall hanging, in sizes not larger than 16"x20". Display prints can be brought over to the Center for Sex and Culture during Feb 1-5 after confirming that someone will be present at the center to accept delivery.
Digital submissions: File names should follow the format:
--<sequence>.<extension>
(e.g.: gabriel-with_feet_for_wings-03.jpg for the third image submitted with the title "With Feet For Wings")
If entries are listed for sale at the show, please donate the proceeds (or a large part of the proceeds) to the CSC for help with their move.
