Family Artists' Workshop: Autumn Color
What better time of year to explore the world of color? Enjoy the unique beauty that is Bartram's Garden in the fall, and create a colorful, seasonal work of art.
Create beautiful artwork alongside your kids at Bartram's Garden, the oldest botanical garden in America. The instruction will be accessible to kids, but artists of ages are encouraged to participate -- after all, it's a lot more fun that way!
Following in the tradition of pioneering American illustrators William Bartram and Anne Bartram Carr, Heather Rinehart approaches fine art through her love of natural history. Rinehart has a professional background in illustration and design and a deep interest in nature and storytelling, and I think that your whole family will find her unquenchable curiosity to be very infectious.
Ages 5 and up, please. Younger siblings can tag along at no additional cost, but it should be understood that they'll be taking a backseat to the older students in attendance. Barring weather emergencies, workshops will be conducted rain or shine.
Please feel free to use our supplies at no additional cost, though you are welcome to bring your own. We're offering a rich selection of workshops for adults and kids in 2015! Please check out our other workshops at: http://www.bartramsgarden.org/events/month/
