Emily Cargill and Dancers/Fly on a Wall/Proia Dance Project

Emily Cargill and Dancers, Fly on a Wall and Proia Dance Project will share this triple bill in an innovative, curious and intriguing evening of dance. These three companies, all emerging and each with a unique choreographic voice, will offer audiences an eclectic and provocative evening of dance.

Emily Cargill and Dancers (ECD), established in 2014, wants to broaden Atlanta dance on a regional/national scale - touring work to other cities as well as collaborating with other professional artists in the Atlanta area. ECD creates work that artistically and physically pushes boundaries, exploring movement that is athletic, organic, intimate
and real. Founder and Artistic Director, Emily Cargill, encourages collaboration and an ongoing exchange of ideas between herself and the company members. The company's first performance was at the Modern Atlanta Dance Festival, with the work, meadow by a train (March 2014). ECD's exciting first season consisted of performances at the Detroit Dance City Festival (August 2014), the NYC10 Dance
Initiative (September 2014) and as a guest performer at the Oxford College Dance Concert (December, 2014).

Fly on a Wall exists as a collection of artists who have a desire to work across mediums. Fly's Artistic Directors began working together in spring of 2014 with a desire to give a voice to Dance Theatre in Atlanta. Fly on a Wall is proud to be presented by Dashboard Co-op in 2015.

Proia Dance Project is a new, Atlanta-based company in the making. Our mission is to assemble various media in a live artistic conversation. We offer audiences an exciting experience as well as educative workshops.
