Go Big & Go Home Project Presents: Avoiding the Avoidable
This presentation will go over the three most common causes climbing accidents (Miscommunication, Mis-Rigging, Rapping off your rope) and techniques to avoid these common mistakes.
The presenter will be Blake Herrington. Blake is a contributor to Rock and Ice with his articles emphasizing techniques to stay safe in the vertical realm. Blake's experiences have given him a keen insight into the causes of climbing accidents and how to avoid them. For information on Blake please visit his blog at:

This workshop is presented by the Go Big & Go Home Project. Our mission is to save lives by engaging the climbing community on a technical and human level with an emphasis on group dynamics and the human aspects of decision making in the vertical realm. We'll do this by actively engaging the climbing community with speakers and workshops that force people to reassess their systems, how they make decisions, and how they interact with groups in high stress situations.
