Sufi Dance Workshop with Persian Dance Master Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam
Hosted by Austin's Ravaan Persian Dance Company, this workshop will introduce Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam. He will be offering instruction in Sufi-inspired whirling, as well as contemporary Persian dance technique. Shahrokh's unique style of Persian dance is infused with Persian, Kurdish, Sufi and Indian influences, bringing together Persian myths, poetry and dance to create an atmosphere of magical quality.
Shahrokh and his dance company, Nakissa, perform in various countries around the world and attend international festivals & events, such as the International Dance Festival in Boulder Colorado, Festival Meridas, Festival d'Asturias, Festival de Chartres, Rotterdam, Rome, La haye, and the Tirgan festival in Toronto.
