Tired of the snow? Tired of the cold? Terrible memories of Valentine's Day? Come to The Weirdo Show! This month we present the performers showing how far they are willing to go for stardom! Lets meet our performers!
The host this month is none other than Mindi Mimosa! Mindi Mimosa has been popping corks throughout DC since October 2012. Sassy, cheeky, and a little bit boozy, Mindi's quick wit and flirtatious stylings always take center-stage and command audience attention. This rowdy dame has an affinity for laughter, smut, and bourbon. Her burlesque stylings leave you laughing and hopefully a little sexually confused. Aside from hosting burlesque shows and performing quirky burlesque acts, Mindi is the co-founder and co-producer for Barenaked Comedy, DC's premiere stand-up comedy, burlesque show.
Eddie Murphy is a local DC standup comedian. Getting his start in the NY comedy scene, he is bringing his unique sense of humor making his debut to the Weirdo Show stage!
Ruby Spruce is a Baltimore burlesque performer making her Weirdo Show debut this month! Making waves across the community with her distinctive style of performance, she is sure to keep you captivated with her tease!
Mab J'Mab is a nationally touring sideshow performer who combines theatre, music, movement, comedy to bring you classic sideshow, with a taste of vaudeville, covered in comedy, seasoned with ukulele. Mab can be found monkeying around with the rest of the Cheeky Monkey Sideshow, which happens to also be DC's longest running theatrical sideshow. Mab believes that every single person has superpowers. One of Mab's super powers is the ability to find the shortest lane in at a toll booth. The other is the ability to walk on broken glass and hammer spikes into her face. Mab is a freak. You probably shouldn't try that at home!
Sabrina Chap is a vaudevillian piano playing extravaganza. With ragtime romps that swing between lascivious and lonely, she's part comedian and part heartbroken wino. She has toured extensively throughout the United States, the UK and Europe with her insane brand of cabaret. Her music has become a staple of the neo-burlesque tradition, with burlesque performers stripping to her songs and variety performers singing them. Check her out at sabrinachap.com
