Honolulu's favorite burlesque troupe, Cherry Blossom Cabaret, presents their fall run of their third annual theatrical show
VarieTease:Alice in Chinatown, at The ARTS at Marks Garage. VarieTease: Alice in Chinatown is a burlesque twist on Lewis Carroll's classic tale.
A departure from their usual nightclub appearances, with Alice in Chinatown CBC dives deeper into theme and theatricality.
VarieTease: Alice in Chinatown (Fall) is a follow-up to CBC's previous Spring burlesque/theatrical productions, VarieTease: Cabaret Carnival (2008),
VarieTease: Feast of the Gods (2009) and VarieTease: Alice in Chinatown (Spring 2010) all wildly successful sold-out runs.
Watch as Alice tumbles down the rabbit hole to discover the wonder of Chinatown. She ends up chasing the White Rabbit to places like 39 Hotel,
Mercury Bar and SoHo where she meets an array of characters including Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, the Cheshire Cat, the Catepillar, the Mad Hatter,
the Queen of Chinatown and more. Alice inChinatown features surprises that have never been showcased by CBC previously,
including aerial dance, hip-hop, and film, all the while holding on to their root- burlesque.
