Linda MacDonald Lewis "The Warriors & Wordsmiths of Freedom" Author Talk and Whiskey Tasting
Join us at the Sorrento Hotel's Fireside Lobby for an evening of conversation and whiskey tasting as author, historian and storyteller Linda MacDonald-Lewis discusses how much influence the Scottish settlers had on America's Declaration of Independence and early government. A foundation that still guides how we run our country and treat each other today. In her book, "The Warriors and Wordsmiths of Freedom: The Birth and Growth of Democracy", Linda brings America's Scottish ancestry to life, showing that the connections between our countries are not merely part of our nation's history, but an essential part of the freedoms we take for granted in modern-day America.
Linda's book is receiving wide attention in UK since its release there. She owns a Celtic shop in Seaside, Oregon and is just starting her US book tour.
Meet Linda in person in the fireside lobby of the Sorrento Hotel. A copy of her book, the whiskey tasting, sharing of stories and a piper and some kilts to be found - all included in the ticket price.
