Circus Center Showcase 2010
After hundreds of hours of sweat toil and training, The best and brightest of the students of San Francisco Circus Center come together in Circus Center's annual Circus Center Showcase. Join professional Circus Artists and the fresh new beginners, young and old, from all over the world on an epic adventure of acrobatics, aerial artistry, clowning and contortion! San Francisco Circus Center's Annual Showcase reveals what happens when circus takes over a person's otherwise humdrum life shows off the students who help make Circus Center a unique and historic San Francisco institution. Come celebrate their dedication and bravery with music, laughter, and applause.
Originally the training arm of San Francisco's legendary Pickle Family Circus, Circus Center is today an internationally-recognized training ground for professional circus artists. Aside from offering recreational circus arts classes year-round to hundreds of adults, youth and children, SFCC's Professional Training Program is now recognized as an arts/vocational school of higher education by the US government, which issues student visas to people from around the world. This year we have students from France, Japan, Monaco, England, Peru, Canada, and Russia.
SFCC is the oldest circus school in this country, with master teachers who have performed with the Nanjing Acrobatic Troupe, Moscow Circus, Cirque du Soleil, Pickle Family Circus, Teatro ZinZanni, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey, and the Big Apple Circus.
