Improv for Actors Worksop
Working on audition monologues? Do you need to increase your confidence with character and role? Need to dig deeper into your monologues?
Then this two day workshop was designed with you in mind. Using improvisational techniques as a way to creatively work with scripted pieces is the main goal of this workshop. You will be guided with your current monologues as well as given new monologues to work on in class. Improvisational exercises will help you create and discover in the moment as you work with you scripts. In this class you will gain tools to help you make strong choices and not limit yourself to one or two techniques.

More About the Creative Institute John Haynes, Instructor John Haynes is the director of The Creative Institute at the Actors Theater of Minnesota. Formally the Director of the Brave New Institute School of Improvisation, John brings over 15 years experience to his classes. John performs improvisation regularly in the Twin Cities with Stevie Ray's Improv Company; he has been a company member with The Mystery Café Comedy Dinner Theater as well as performing his one-man improv structure "Voices in My Head". John is also the co-creator of the popular improv duo Police Cop Detective PI.
