Seattle Butoh Festival- Exploring The Global Body- Workshops
Exploring the Global Body, our 5th Seattle Butoh Festival, brings international Mexican Butoh Artist Diego Piñon along with DAIPANbutoh members for 2 performances at Broadway Performance Hall, a free outdoor performance at Kubota Garden organized by Joan Laage, and 3 workshops by Piñon at the Taoist Studies Institute. This festival will provide audiences with inspiring performances, workshops and educational experiences from our gifted guest artist Mr. Piñon. It will germinate a deep-rooted artistic interchange and investigation of the global body highlighting Seattle's place as an international hub of butoh art.
