Swifty's Pickles Home Fermentation Class

Join master fermenter Bryan 'Swifty' Josephs Sunday, March 1st from 11 am to 2 pm in a hands on class learning about and making delicious pickles. In this course you will make two different types of pickled vegetables and we will discuss techniques, recipes and theories that will inspire you to make all sorts of amazing fermented foods at home. Topics covered will be the art and science of flavor development, food safety, preservation and tradition, how to cook with pickles and strategies to include them in your diet; as well as the numerous health benefits of pickling and it's effect on the human biome. Included in the sixty five dollar price are all supplies, two jars of pickles to take home, and an assorted pickle tasting with other light refreshments.
