3rd Annual Best Tamale SF Contest
Marshall Elementary School is hosting the 3rd Annual Marshall Elementary School Tamale Contest. For $25 advanced / $30 at the door, you get to sample the full variety of homemade tamales offered by our Mission-based tamale chefs - the parents of Marshall Elementary School students and our Mission neighbors. A $5 rice-and-bean plate option is provided for children as an alternative to a full-price Tamale Tasting ticket.
The tamale tasting will be held March 16, 2015 at the Roosevelt Tamale Parlor (2817 24th Street in San Francisco) from 6 8 PM.
Prizes will be awarded to the cooks who create the best tasting tamales. The rest of the money will help the Marshall Elementary PTA fund areas that are not covered in the school budget, to include (but not limited to) technology for the classrooms, science-based field trips in support of the school's innovative Oceans Month program, and funding for organized team games and peer leadership during outdoor play.
Please purchase your tickets now and help support our local public school!
