Tuesday Tasting - Clarifying Chimay
Chimay, brewed at the Notre-Dame de Scourmont Abbey, is one of the six Belgian brewers that can carry the logo, "Authentic Trappist Product". Their Red, White and Blue ales are considered by many to be the epitome of their respective styles, but which one's which? Here's your opportunity to figure that out once and for all.
The Malt Shoppe presents it's first educational effort, "Clarifying Chimay". Sample a couple ounces of all three Chimay beers along with an alternative offering in the same style from another Belgian brewery.

Chimay Blue vs. Cuvée Van De Keizer Blauw
Belgian Dubbel
Chimay Red vs. Corsendonk Pater Dubble
Belgian Triple
Chimay White vs. Westmalle Triple
That's six samples of some of the most highly revered beers in the world. And when the event's over, you get to take home a Chimay chalice and you get 15% off the purchase of a 750 ml bottle of any of the beers sampled.
Seating is extremely limited: just 12 participants in each session on a first-come-first-serve basis. So make your reservations early.
