Love, Loss, and Liberation - A Fundraising Recital for Breast Cancer Awareness and Research
Join us for an intimate evening and support a great cause as Jamila Hewitt (aka Mila Knight) presents "Love, Loss and Liberation". Jamila will perform songs that have proven to be personally therapeutic, including a premiere of her own original song, "Dear You". As a cancer survivor, Jamila strongly believes that music helps with the healing process, and she is on a mission to actively lead fundraising campaigns in support of breast cancer awareness, assistance, and research. All proceeds from the event will help support Jamila's mission and will be donated to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (www.mskcc.org) or Susan G. Komen Greater NYC (www.komennyc.org).

Use the donation option below the ticket purchase box to consider giving an additional amount to support families impacted by breast cancer. While the funds raised from the event will go towards MSK or Komen, there is so much work to be done that you could never give too much.
The performance is 45 mins long. Reception with small bites and drinks immediately following. Your donation includes the concert + refreshments. Save the date!

The Annex at Acme Hall Studios is an intimate, beautiful, state-of-the-art event space. Acme Hall Studios is a vibrant musical environment located in the heart of Park Slope. A recording facility, educational space, and performance venue, catering to musicians of all levels. Located in Park Slope on 9th Street, right off 7th Avenue on the ground floor, the Annex is steps from the F and G train 7th Ave stop.
