JOHN GILMORE'S NEW SHOW: "THE VOYLE GILMORE CAPITOL YEARS"
My dad, Voyle, was the preeminent record producer
of the 1950s and early 1960s at Capitol Records.
I'll be performing the music from hit recordings by:
Frank Sinatra
The Kingston Trio
Louis Prima and Keely Smith
The Beatles
that my father produced during his Capitol career (1947-1970)
Also, I'll be relating exclusive stories and anecdotes he shared with me about the
iconic artists with whom he worked and became good friends.
Joining me will be:
Dan Presley/bass
Tim Rap/drums
Lee Wuthenow/sax
Dave Johnson/guitar
Complimentary wine and soft drinks will be served at intermission.
