What: The GREAT Salt City Blues Concert 9 - Celebrating The 40th Anniversary of Blue Wave Records
When: Friday, December 26 at 7:30 pm (doors open at 6:00)
Where: St. George Church Hall 5083 Onondaga Rd., Syracuse, NY 13215
The GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert 9 will be held once again this year at the St. George Church Hall. One of Syracuses coolest venues, the St. George Church Hall is located inside Macedonian Orthodox Church in Syracuse at 5083 Onondaga Road, Rt. 173.
This years GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert 9 will be limited to 400 seated patrons and there is plenty of free parking at the Macedonian Orthodox Church parking lot. Food & beverages will be available and served by the church staff.
The areas best musicians will be celebrating Blue Wave Records 40th Anniversary with a special concert featuring selected songs from the extensive catalog of Blue Wave Records artists.
Blue Wave is Central New Yorks oldest nationally distributed Independent Record Label, founded in 1985 by Baldwinsville native, Greg Spencer. Over the past 40 years, Blue Wave has released albums from National artists Downchild Blues Band, Eric Burdon, Kim Simmonds & Savoy Brown, Cub Koda, Arthur Brown & Jimmy Carl Black, Sean Costello, Jimmy Cavallo as well as Syracuse based artists such as The Kingsnakes, Doyle-Whiting Band, Kim Lembo & Blue Heat and others. Sammy Hall Of Fame member and Blue Wave president, Greg Spencer currently produces The GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert held annually in Syracuse the day after Christmas.
Songs performed will include favorites from Downchild Blues Band, Kim Simmonds & Savoy Brown, Sean Costello, Eric Burdon, Kim Lembo & Blue Heat, Joe Whiting, Cub Koda, Kelly James a/k/a Dr. Blue, Arthur Brown & others.

Tickets are $30.00 advance / $40.00 at door, if available and go on sale, Nov. 1st.

The GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert is an annual event held the day after Christmas. A series of 10 GREAT Salt City BLUES Concerts will be presented. This is concert #9 and each concert has been performed in front of a full capacity audience.
Each concert is unique and never to be repeated with a changing line-up of performers featuring some of the area's greatest musicians. Each concert is a thematic show honoring some of our greatest Blues Artists with participating musicians chosen specifically because they are best fitted for the show.
