TBAM Festival Strings Finale
Violinist Anna Morris, joins the TBAM Festival Strings in "Summer" by Vivaldi. Other highlights include Terrie Baune, concertmaster of the Festival Strings and Musical Director of TBAM, the premier of a composition for piano and orchestra by John Chernoff, which will include Wind Energy, a wood wind quintet, all on stage at Trinidad Town Hall.
Terrie Baune will conduct from the concertmaster position. She is concertmaster of the Eureka Symphony and the North State Symphony, and co-concertmaster of the Oakland Symphony. She is a member of the professional new-music ensembles Earplay and New Music Works, and Associate Director of the Humboldt Chamber Music Workshop at Humboldt State University.
Anna Morris graduated summa cum lauda with a B.A in Violin Performance from Humboldt State University (2006), and from the University of Denvers Lamont School of music with a Masters degree in Suzuki Violin Pedagogy (2008), and a Certificate in Orchestral Studies in Violin (2009). She is a member of the classical-rock fusion string quartet Spinphony.
Wind Energy is a wind quintet (Flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon and horn) made up of Humboldt- based talent.
John Chernoff, on staff at HSU, has soloed with many orchestras, including Eureka Symphony, and is excited to be offering his piano concerto for this premiere. His playing is legendary.
